Care of rebozos:    A number of the rebozos are hand dyed cotton.  They need to be washed by hand in cold water.
The body of the rebozos should be washed while leaving the fringe out of the water, and in reverse, the fringe should
be washed while leaving the body out of the water.  The body generally needs to be washed more often than the fringe
does.  The reason that they are washed separately is that the dye of the fringe might move to the woven part of the
rebozo.  Dyes in the woven parts of the rebozos themselves generally run a little into each other giving the rebozos the
softened look that women in Mexico really love.  If you would like to keep the colouring of the rebozos pristine, then I
would recommend dry cleaning.  I have a thoughtful customer who gave me a great hint though.  She put the rebozo in her
dryer set on "air fluff" along with an unscented dryer sheet.  The rebozo has gained in softness and its draping and
still has the scent of the original dyes.  It sounds perfect.  The fringe is often combed (with a regular clean
hair comb) and carefully trimmed to keep the end of the fringe tidy...
